Remember the days of old, consider the years of ages past; ask your father, he will inform
you, your elders, they will tell you. (Deuteronomy 32-7)
As the family grows bigger and our children have children, the genealogy takes a dominating
place in our life.
Is it a need of suture following a break? I believe that we want to compensate for a wound,
very often in the loss of parents or grandparents. We say ourselves:
'We did not ask them questions, and they left like that?'. In reality, we think that the
parents knew quite previous history and could even go back up until Mathusalem.
Let us reassure we, our parents did not ask either questions their parents, and it is simply a question for us of a need of positioning us just a little in the time. Therefore, let us follow the precept of the heading.
